Luke, a Braintree resident and Massachusetts-based attorney, died suddenly on Jan. 18 at South Shore Hospital, according to an online obituary.Luke previously lived in Cambridge, Boston and Duxbury. She was a graduate of Emmanuel College, Boston, and Suffolk Law School. "Mary's law career included guardianships for the elderly and mentally ill for the state of Massachusetts for more than thirty years. Notably, she worked on the 'Framingham Eight' case with a group of advocate attorneys who helped change domestic abuse laws for women in Massachusetts," the obituary read.
